Bodegón Cabinet is a multidisciplinary studio based in Barcelona, focused on architecture, interior and furniture design. Their name is the Spanish translation of ‘still life’. This name reflects the idea that natural or handcrafted objects are staged in a defined space, using design, colors and light, in order to create harmony, a feeling of comfort and well-being. Bodegón Cabinet’s mission is to draw “still lifes” as part of their various projects to create houses, hotels, restaurants or custom furniture, in order to enrich the human experience. The architect duo have the same way of approaching things: architecture becomes a base, and their objective is to fully experience the production process, convinced that there are no “small projects” and that the possibilities of formulas are endless.

We were eager to begin collaborating with Bodegón Cabinet when we first discovered this multidisciplinary studio based in Barcelona that’s focused on architecture and furniture design. Bodegón is Spanish for “still life” and reflects the idea that natural or handcrafted objects are thoughtfully placed within a defined space, using design, color and light to create harmony, and a feeling of comfort or well-being. Both the Prima and Redonda chairs, two pieces with clean, geometric lines, were born from this idea.
